OK but missing features This would have been good awhile ago but obviously they are struggling to keep up with Asana's fast rate of change. App doesn't support sections or sub tasks. Only useful for the widget.
Links In most of my tasks are links to Google documents, web pages, etc. In the app the links are not active. Could you please make them active so I can directly open the documents or webpages?
great app for the funcgionality and user interface paid $5 for this app and found it ok. good use and easy to add the tasks. but then we need to go to the computer to do any editinf or customising. hence i need to be on my lapfop with asana at least once a day. but ita great that it works offline and then syncs tasks. great when phone network is not there. would like to assign to ppl and akso subtasks and comments.
Good implementation over native app User interface is a bit clunky with boxed in buttons for data on individual tasks, but the interface is usable. The fact that it stores data for offline use and syncs when it has a data connection is hands down an improvement over the native app, which takes longer to sync over a network when you first access the app. Widget is usable and useful but could use some advanced features like adding or editing a task from the widget itself, and could use a smaller "summary" widget as opposed to the full screen widget size on my phone (takes an entire page). I would lobby for popup task notifications on my phone as a high priority item, even if it's generated outside of the native asana application. Also, assigning a time for the popup notification as a reminder feature would be a great improvement. I'm not as concerned with subtasks and commenting as other people, but could see a use case for those features, just not in my daily application. Would also like to see either a push sync implementation or an option for more frequent sync (more frequent than the 15 minute option). Developer seems responsive to suggestions. Could be an Astrid replacement for sure.
Mostly Awesome MyAsana is a much better client for Asana than the one the creators provide, but it does have a few faults. The widget doesn't refresh properly, so I have to go into the app and refresh it manually to get the latest task data, then refresh the widget. Also I don't like that tasks due today are marked red - I'd at least like the option to have them marked green, like the Asana website does. Other than that it's a fine app for an excellent task management tool. Everything looks nice and it's simple to tick off tasks as you complete them.
Poor customer service Over the course of six months, I have twice emailed to ask whether a feature exists and have received no response. Also, the lack of subsections and search functionality are problematic.
