About this game
Sintra AmbiQuiz is an environmental education initiative promoted by the Sintra City Council and by the SMAS - Sintra Municipal Water and Sanitation Services. It is an interactive pedagogical game that allows you to deepen and test your knowledge through a series of questions about preserving the environment and about Sintra.
The game is free access and the user access is subject to registration. It is available for online access on a computer or tablet supplemented with mobile application. Player registration can be done in the desktop or mobile application.
The Privacy Policy, the Terms and Conditions of use of Sintra AmbiQuiz and the Framework of this online educational game platform can be consulted publicly in the desktop version or in the mobile application.
Sintra AmbiQuiz promotes, in a school environment, the competition between the students of the schools of Sintra of primary education of the 2nd and 3rd Cycles, offering prizes for the students of the 5th-6th year, the students of the 7th-9th year and their Teachers and Schools.
It also allows the sharing of knowledge in a family environment, allowing the registration of relatives and friends of young students who can thus participate in the game.
Players can battle each other in which each player participates by playing on a computer, tablet or smartphone through the mobile application.
This application allows the realization of Battles, which constitute duels between 2 players in which both respond to the same 10 questions.
The player who creates the Battle selects who wants to challenge and is the first to respond to the quiz. When a student is the winner of the Battle receives score for the victory.
If players correctly answer the same number of questions, the tiebreaker is made by response time, with victory being awarded to the fastest player.
Both players are notified of the final result of the Battle that they disputed, being made available to them the list of right and wrong answers of the two opponents.
The battles in which the student wins victorious thus allow to obtain score for the general classification of Sintra AmbiQuiz.
The mobile application allows you to create new battles or consult the list of battles that are underway:
- those for which the player was challenged and who are not yet finished because they have not yet played them;
- and the battles that the player created, but that his opponent has not yet played, having to wait for the results.
Once installed on the device, and after signing in, the player will be notified via the mobile application of the invitations he received to play Battles and the results of the ones he created that have already been completed by his opponents.
The player can consult in the desktop version his score, the lists of battles carried out or the general classification.
