About this app

Find wild birds, take their photos, and create your own personal bird guide.
Wild Bird GO is an adventure and recording app designed to make wild bird photography and birdwatching even more enjoyable.

"How many species of birds can I find today?"
"I was able to meet this little one again this year."
"Let's go look for a bird I've never seen before."

This is an app that lets you rediscover the fun of exploring nature and the excitement of adventure, sparked simply by heading out to photograph birds.

■ Identify Wild Bird Photos with AI
AI estimates the species from the photos of wild birds you take. This is useful even when you don't know the name of a bird.

■ Your Own Personal Bird Guide
Create your original bird guide using the photos you took yourself. You can record the wild birds you encounter as a life list.
For the same species of bird, you can save photos from various situations, such as differences in appearance between males and females, juveniles, and plumage changes due to molting.

■ Record Discovery and Shooting Locations on a Map
Record the locations where you found wild birds on a map, or automatically display shooting locations on the map using photo metadata (such as Exif).
Recommended birdwatching spots selected by the management are also starting to be featured.

■ Comprehensive Coverage of Wild Birds Found in Japan
Supporting 684 species of wild birds found in Japan, the app includes guidebook information such as commentaries, distribution, seasons, and Red List categories for major birds.
The commentaries, which include interesting anecdotes about familiar urban birds like the Eurasian tree sparrow and black-backed wagtail, as well as birds you might not notice unless you pay attention like the black-crowned night heron and lesser cuckoo, are fun just to read!
In addition, support for overseas species has started, making it possible to register all species of wild birds around the world.

■ View Other People's Wonderful Guides
You can view photos of other users who have made their guides public.
Even for the same bird, photos taken by people with a long birding history or skilled photographers are full of amazing shots and wonderful pictures set against seasonal flowers.
By using likes and comments to share that you like, are amazed by, or love a photo, the photographer might be delighted!

■ Information on Species Subject to Conservation Activities, Such as Endangered Species
There are species that are endangered not only domestically but also globally, such Blakiston's fish owl and the spoon-billed sandpiper.
In addition to displaying Red List categories (extinction risk levels for wildlife established by the IUCN and Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology - wait, Ministry of the Environment) and estimated population numbers, you can learn about the conservation status and protection activities of these species, as well as manners and rules on the app to maintain an appropriate distance from wild birds and natural wildlife.
Find, photograph, and log wild birds with AI ID and a custom field guide.
