It's kind of confusing at first with what you are supposed to be doing. Only figured out that you can combine basic potions by accident. The game lacks variety and environment. This game would benefit from more plant options maybe some more rare than others, an over world map to travel to locations like the shop, and more getting rid of the runic language (it's cool, but doesn't add anything except confusion). Once you figure it out, you can beat the game in 2 hours tops. No micro-transactions.

A decent game, but could have more to it. Once you figure out what plants are safe to use, it gets tedious figuring out what potions you have and haven't made, since the potion book doesn't remain on the page you were on when you left, which is a minor but annoying detail for me. In addition, I wish there were more to do with the potions themselves. They don't do anything but sell for varying amounts of money and I wish there was some more nuance to it. Again, good, but could be better for sure.

Great little game, once you puzzle out the mechanics. Definitely geared toward guys... You CAN get ahead with your income, but it takes an investment. I would love to see a part II with perhaps a combination of the cooking and alchemy mechanics, and/or a little more variety/complexity in the ingredient foraging, e.g. seasonal herbs and different parts of the forest (stream bank, meadow, coppice, swamp, old growth...).
