About this app

AcuStorm is an application for professionals, students and lovers of acupuncture, designed for operational use in the treatment process. Currently, the application supports acupuncture styles: traditional, 5 Primary Elements, meridian, Dr. Tan's Balance method, and Master Tong's acupuncture.

All functions and content are divided into 4 interconnected tabs with the following properties.

Atlas:
- 3-layer color drawings;
- single-window, multi-window and full-screen modes;
- scaling and scrolling images;
- selection of pictures and pseudo-3D navigation with history;
- mapping of points and meridians in accordance with the installed filters;
- display of combinations of points in multi-window mode;
- mapping of points in the clipboard (illustrating any external texts);
- pop-up windows with brief information about the point;
- dynamic projections (correspondences): select the affected area using the active cursor and see the corresponding therapeutic areas.

- description of the meridian and non-meridian points in the book “Acupuncture: a complete textbook” of the Shanghai School of Traditional Medicine, translated into English and edited by John O'Connor and Dan Bensky, Eastland Press, 1981;
- information on meridians compiled from leading Western sources;
- Circuit channels, based on the 5 types of communication between the meridians; Descriptions contain indications, functions, illustrations and the use of chains in therapy;
- systems of therapeutic fit between body parts;
- localization of points specified for several reliable textbooks and atlases;
- information about the points of the Master of Tonga compiled from leading Western sources;
- named combinations of points, in particular, compound points, effective combinations and 12 magic points of Dr. Tan;
