Gear up! is an initiative carried out with the aim of getting more people to cycle to work, studies and leisure activities. Another important aim is to gain knowledge about cycling among the county's residents.
Along with this app, competitions are arranged to encourage people to choose the bicycle as a means of transport. At the same time, the cycle data will be logged anonymously so that it can then be used as a basis for future infrastructure planning and physical planning together with the municipalities.
The project spans three years and is mainly financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The overall goal is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from passenger transport. Energikontor Sydost is the project owner.
