Tidegärden is your digital prayer book! With the help of this app, you can pray with millions of people around the world and with prayers originating several thousand years back in time.
In a time marked by rootlessness and an abundance of information, time prayers are a form of prayer where we get to fall into the conversation that began centuries before us. It was the time prayers that supported Daniel in the lions' pit and in the time prayers that Jesus gained strength when he hung on the cross, through the prayers in the Psalmist.
Saint Ambrose of Milan, who lived in the fourth century, said that the psalmist's prayers “give the mind peace, soothe anxiety, and soften the burden of sorrow. It is a source of security at night, a teacher by day, a shield against fear, a way of celebrating the sacred, a vision of peace of mind, a promise of peace and unity ”.
Launch the app and you will immediately receive a time prayer that is suitable for the day and the moment. You can pray at any time: on the commuter train, in the car (unless you are driving), on the lunch break or in the dentist's waiting room. The app contains several smart functions, such as the ability to add your own prayer topics that come up in the time prayers later.
The app is completely free and ad-free, but if you appreciate and use it, feel free to give a gift to a charity. There are some suggestions in the app and you can also swisha your gift directly from the app.
The app contains the following time prayer books in Swedish:
Tidegärden - The Church's Daily Prayer (1995)
Ecumenical community time prayers (2015 and onwards)
Pilgrim's Tidal Fence (2020)
Prayer of the hours, Killans bönegårds tidegärd (2020)
