Now it is known that Bornholmsmodellen® app. It is suitable for children from three years and upwards. It is equally good in the nursery / pre-school class / school, at home. Together with an adult or older literate companion makes kids discoveries that allowed them to understand how it is to read.
Bornholmslek® is scientifically well established and based on a theoretical approach to reading where the importance of phonological awareness is clarified. Through the app's various games, the foundations for a good read and write start. How does different things and phenomena? What words rhyme? How does the words at the beginning and at the end? How is it to build and read a word? All these children have the opportunity to explore with Bornholmslek®. Children are welcome in the language game-house to see what lies on the various floors.

LISTEN
Children need to practice to listen and pay attention to the sound around you, that is not the language sounds. The skill helps children later to switch attention to the sounds of language. Listening Games is equally suitable for the youngest children, as the older students.
SOUND
The game contains many sound illustrations of indoor and outdoor sound. The children will identify and connect the sound with the right picture. First, it sounds to specific objects and fewer images to choose from. On the second level difficulty increases slightly in that there are more pictures of abstract sounds, such as wind. Pupils with another mother tongue is favored especially by the many everyday sounds, which may be familiar to them. In natural conversation about the sounds evolve both vocabulary and narrative.
TALES
The children will listen to the animated mini stories with and without rhyme. They are also able to tap on the items in the saga for later listening and retelling the tale.
RIMLEK
Early starts kids fascinated with rhyming words. Rimlekarna develops children's ability to determine which words that rhyme. It is a first step in starting to pay attention to language form. The first rimleken includes monosyllabic Rimpar. The scene then shifts and new bisyllabic Rimpar presented.
LIKE THE BEGINNING
Here the children practice listening and identifying the first sound without any connection to the letter. In each round, an object / animal. The voice pronounce the word. Then presented more items / animals to be sorted by the beginning of the sound, which belongs to the current round.
How does WORDS?
In order to move forward in literacy development, all children realize how our language sounds represented by different characters, letters. The first step is to listen for what a word starting with the sounds and find the right letter. The next step is to identify how the word sounds at the end. Language sounds are pronounced clearly and can also be very helpful for anyone with a mother tongue other than Swedish.
Build words
The last step involves the children to listen for the sounds in a word and associate each sound to the correct letter. The words are all sound as spelled with a slightly increasing difficulty. Children who can handle this level have acquired knowledge about how it is to read and write. The conditions are now the best in order to develop a good reading and writing skills.
The games have been adapted for children with motor difficulties. In addition to drag and drop, you can also press the objects / pictures to get them to move automatically.
