It is 90% bots or scammers. No screening process at all. Now it is 100% non functional. Hasn't worked in almost two years. Messages rarely send, you post and it has a 10% chance of actually posting. Ads everywhere, coupled with insane functionality issues. The company doesn't care, and the complaints are endless. Limewire was safer and better maintained then this app. Save your phone, words, and energy for anything else. Whisper is dead.

This app is so neglected by the developers. For the last two months, it's been nearly impossible to send private messages. The same bugs have been present for nearly two years, spam/bot posts, fake escorts, and a number of other issues that make this app an absolute chore to use. They ask you to contact support, but when you do, you just get automated responses. MediaLab doesn't care. This used to be great app, but greed and complacency has absolutely ruined it. Avoid!

Once upon a time, this was a fairly entertaining app. Nowadays is has devolved into absolute garbage. The messaging system doesn't function (averages 6-8 attempts to actually send a message successfully) and the app itself has been overrun by spam bots. Seems like the developers have completely abandoned the app. Don't waste your time with this. EDIT: I didn't think it possible, but Whisper has actually gotten worse since I posted this. Groups now won't show up, everything now takes even longer
