To be honest I expected more from the app and the controls. What the app needs to get the 5 star review is the following: 1. Integration with Google home and Alexa 2. An option for widgets (light switch on and off) 3. It would be great to see if the app can directly integrate with Spotify, for lights to follow the rhythm of the Music instead of using the microphone. I'm satisfied that I don't need to use the remote, but I think there is always more room for improvement.

It took me a minute to figure it out but the music sync works best if play music on my tv and I use the external mic and set the sensitivity fairly low. Otherwise, the lights just flash randomly. Sometimes the using the app then switching to the remote, they just shut off and I have to unplug then to get them to turn back on. If that weren't an issue and if it wasn't so difficult to figure out how to sync the lights, it'd get 5 stars. I do wish there was a way to link Spotify to the lights.

It works for everything but the microphone. Which is a real shame. I tested it out by playing music, the lights would flicker, but at random. I'd turn the music off and it continues to flicker at random. Not to mention you cant choose any color options for the microphone settings. Everything else is fine, but the microphone settings is a lie.
