About this app

Children Resuscitation Aid FREE!

The application gives you all essential resuscitation data based on the weight of the patient (both children and adult). It loads super fast and allows immediate calculations.

WETFAG is a common acronym for Weight - Energy - Tubus - Fluids - Adrenaline - Glucose, used by emergency rescue personnel as a memory aid in resuscitation in children.

The application provides:
- A quick calculation for age-to-weight, weight-to-age and basic resuscitation quantities (WETFAG).
- Simple entry of age (years or months) or weight.
- Doses for Children as well as adults.
- Display of used formulae.

The application provides (besides the WETFAG calculus) doses of most commonly used drugs in the emergency medicine and can also calculate doses for adults. Amongst other, doses for ketamine, rocuronium, fentanyl, midazolam, amiodarone, atropine and adenosine are included.

Other features include:
- Doses of most commonly used drugs in the emergency medicine based on entered age/weight (swipe the screen to display).
- An option to keep app on screen (turn off display locking) while in use.
- An option to save current entry and list a history of previously saved entries.
- Vital signs reference ranges.

just if anyone from Ireland use it. The weight calculations formula changed and 1-5y old is age x 2 + 8 (4y old is 16kg) neonate =3.5kg 6m= 6kg ... in this app calculations format is age x 3 + 7 from 1y old just to let you know 😉

Thank you for the feedback. And for all your help in getting the references. We are using Luscombe aformula, which is to our knowledge the best estimation. Skrobo D, Kelleher G; CORKSCREW 2013 CORK study of children's realistic estimation of weight; EMJ; 2015;32:32-35. But we will keep a look out for any updates and adjust the calculations.

Did not correctly calculate ET tube size for a 6 year old. Doesn't seem to give .5 increments for tube sizes. Gave tubes size for 6 year old and 7 year old as 5mm. Calculation is (age in years ÷4)+4. So (6÷4)+4 = 5.5mm paediatric ET tube.
