The aim of this project was to develop a possible easy to use Internet radio using the Raspberry Pi.
First, the question arose as to operate and the display should occur.
It quickly became clear that it makes the most sense to use an Android app for this.
So when we only need the hardware Raspi + SD card + power supply + PC speakers (amplifier speakers).
The software on the Raspberry Pi is composed of finished Komponennten and configured.
So it's not self-programmed software on the Raspi required.
As operating system we install the Raspbian Wheezy, so the standard image of Raspi.
The audio player software is the Music Player Daemon (MPD), as this is very easy to be controlled remotely via Ethernet.
As Android app for remote control I have programmed a custom application that I present here free of charge.
It was used not the numerous client apps from the Play Store, as these apps are tailored mostly not on this particular application (Internet Radio). The operation is otherwise too cumbersome.
Over a small shell script which can be run down over Raspi the Android app.
