My second review. Installation was tricky, but once installed works pretty well. There is definitely competition with the fireplace remote though. If the remote was used to turn on the fireplace, then the app cannot control the fireplace. The controls will snap back to what the remote has them set to. Similarly if you turn on the remote after starting the fireplace with the app the remote now has control and can only be commanded from the remote. Otherwise it does the job well.

The application does not work properly with newer model phones. I need to continuously add a pairing code (multiple times a day) if I want to use voice controls through my Google devices. Once you get the app set up it does work properly but the software needs some serious updating.

Doesn't detect my fireplace. Also when it searches for fireplaces and doesn't find any, it doesn't issue any error messages. It just sits there
