After spending several minutes trying to set up the app, I got an 'Unexpected error' that I couldn't get rid of 🤷 That's where my experience ended. However, it seems that the app is the only way to find what benefits Tesco Clubcard gives me.

One would think that when mobile device connects to internet, the application would immediately update the vouchers section - remove used vouchers and add new ones, if there are any. This however doesn't happen each time the device is within reach of a WiFi, or using mobile data. And FYI - what you are stating, that 'Online applications can work properly only when they run on device with permanent connection to the Internet.' is NOT TRUE. Applications that are well designed don't need permanent connection to the internet to run properly.

The app will try to update all data when your device is connected and to the network and it's just running, not in the background, and not when you connect to the network after the application is already running. ONLINE APPLICATIONS can work properly only when they run on device with permanent connection to the Internet.

Great app, except of several cases of the malfunctioning coupons. You are absolutely sure, that you bought the right item, but the coupon does not work for no reason. You will get an error on the register, that it's not possible to apply it, or even better, that it does not know the coupon at all. In that case, keep the receipt, support is able to help you. Unfortunately, they will not refund you the coupons, they only give you one more chance to apply it, hmm. But overall, it works fine.
