Tried this last week during a trip to Beijing. Map didn't show any bikes (except in Cambridge, UK) but once I found one I was able to unlock and use it. Looked promising, will probably try again at some point.
Need to be free or use simcard as payment students like me don't have any way to pay
Hey ofo, I'm in Beijing. I'm grateful for an English app to use. However why is it that some bikes unlock and some won't accept the code? Sometimes l need to try 3 or 4 bikes until one will unlock. The old combination-lock bikes are easiest to unlock. The others are random. Sometimes works but often l need to try another bike until it accepts the code.
WARNING! This app does not work for ofo bikes in China where these bikes are everywhere. Frankly, Google ought to delete the App from the Play Store until this is made clear in the description. When I was travelling in China I made a deposit with my US credit card hoping to use the bikes. Requesting a refund within the app didn't work, I had to email customer service to get my money back. I'm only giving a second star because customer service was very responsive. (written August 17, 2017) ADDENDUM: The answer of August 8 according to which the current version of the app works in China is simply WRONG.
u all should let it free for students as they have no credit card and my school is near my house if free for students I will use the app I wish the next update can use my idea
