A great product on iOS with awesome support. A bad product on android with horrible support. Downloaded the app at 7PM requested activation code and didn't not get it til 3AM. Tried to activate app with the code and it's invalid. Gee I wonder why. Oh the code expires in less then an HR after taking 8 to be delivered. Email devs and still haven't received a response.

It didn't send the code at sign up, even after pressing the resend button.

Won't allow you to look at other areas. Friend of mine has a completely different version she installed 3 day ago . Mine asked for emails phone numbers and won't let me look at other areas of the city. Must be via GPS in my phone . Also wouldn't allow it in another phone I have, (Samsung from last year) claiming, "not available for this version. I suspect data mining. Uninstall

Very useful if you're a parent and get concerned for your children. One suggestion would be to put a bit more details in the notification. Besides that I think that living in NYC this is a must have if you wanna keep clear of problems. And I like the fact that you can go live if it's something that is not life-threatening to you you can actually show what the actual problem is.

Updated review. They must have updated the app because its running great now. Let's you know about all the crime in your area that the regular and local newspapers dont publish.

Great concept. Execution lacking a bit. Major battery drainer. Unlike its iOS counterpart if you click on an incident you cannot zoom in or out on the detailed map. Please fix the battery usage issue ASAP!

Would be nice to have. Its to bad its not big enough yet. I am anxious for it to expand in all states not just one city.

Definitely a data mining app that's borderline spyware. Google allows it because they themselves do the same thing.

While it is a good concept. It does not provide live feeds of police matters like advertised on their ad. This provides feeds from incidents that happened hours and even days in the past. To be effective, this app needs to provide live information to its users to help them avoid certain intersections and let them be aware of their surroundings at all times. I am not sure if it is because of lack of cooperation with the local police department, but I have tested this out in different locations throughout NYC and have noticed the time lapse between the incident and the time it is actually reported is way too far apart. It almost seems like they need to get approval of what can and cannot be released to the public before it shows up on the app, which explains the delay in incidents and the fact that certain serious crimes were not being reported on this app.

tell you exactly when the crime is occuring by you there is no notification or anything

It's of my view that this technological application will enhance mode and safety of daily movements of the citizens. It's a laudable idea!!!

The concept is great but unfortunately, the app only shows 4 hours ago. For a few seconds, it shoes correctly but disappears.

This is a pretty neat idea and decent execution. It gives you some perspective on how safe your actual neighborhood is and after seeing some patterns of where issues occur, I've learned to avoid a specific intersection. I do think there is room for improvement in the app design though. Such as the ability to easily find past events that you commented on. It's obvious that this is still in the early stages so I'm giving the devs the benefit of the doubt that it will improve over time.

Recommendation regarding "age" of incident mark ups on map. Consider color coding. If there is assailant, if in custody. Or additional.filters or tabs.
