Hylyt.it is a new tool that seeks to bring the convenience of traditional highlighting and annotation to the articles you read every day on your phones and tablets. All your favorite articles are saved in one centralized location. Clicking on any article will show you a clean, stripped-down view of the article with just the highlights and annotations you made. Clicking on a highlight will bring you back to the full article view, showing you the context of the highlight.
Not just a bookmarking tool on steroids
In this era of information overload, it's easy to forget the myriad facts that are thrown at us on a daily basis, and as well-intentioned as we all may be, we usually have too much on our plates to make it back to review interesting material. That's why Hylyt.it uses the proven method of spaced repetition to ensure optimal retention in the least intrusive way possible. After annotating an article, Hylyt.it will remind you of those highlights a few days later, then doubles the interval between reviews. If that sounds tedious, consider this: the 4th review of your highlights occurs over 50 days after first reading it, and your 7th reviews occurs almost two years after.
Of course, if you would rather use certain articles as a reference, archive them and you won't get any more review reminders. Finally, articles and individual highlights can be tagged by theme.
Long-click the article list or highlight list for options.
