Murudenu is at knifepoint, and the whole village drinks at your place.

You keep the inn. Every night the door opens and patrons sit down: they show what they want, you tap the right bottle, the glass pours, you slide it over to them. Too slow, and they slam the door. Three slammed doors, and the night falls.

SEAT RIVALS FAR APART
The Militia, the Church, the Wild Ones, Triune: four factions that cannot stand each other. Two rivals side by side, and the fuse lights. Drag one of them to a stool further away before fists fly.

EVERY TEN NIGHTS, A REGULAR TAKES THE COUNTER
Halm goes first, always. Mira's order vanishes the moment it's spoken. Frederik fills the room three at a time. Bruse splashes with every drink. Escaut changes her mind mid-order. Vess says nothing, and grows impatient. Each has a rule, each has a bar to empty, and emptying it ends the night. Every boss beaten brings a new bottle to the menu.

GROW THE INN
Coins from a night held are spent in the back room: one more seat, a repainted sign, a waxed counter, a tidy cellar, a shelf, a slate. And three hires: the waiter who carries the drinks, the bouncer who calms the tables, the dishwasher who wipes the seats.

AN ENDING, AND THE ROOM OPENS AGAIN
Sixty nights and six bosses later, the inn is yours. The village knows it. And tomorrow the door opens again: the regulars come back, the room fills faster, and nothing stops.
