This app is great! Shows easy movements step by step on video. It's basic self defense needed in todays world. And from Israel. I've taken other self defense all Asian, like them allot but this is easier. Not meaning to sound particular on cultures because I love all, but something new from another part of the world. Would like to learn self defense, martial arts from all over the world.
I am currently taking Krav Maga and as a woman who works security in an emergency room I can attest that it has been helpful at work. This is informative, shows slowed down and real time views from different angles of practical defense techniques. Easier if you practice with a buddy (safety first!!!). Doesn't beat having a trainer to help critique on form, but so far great tool to supplement my classes.
Good compilation of short technique videos, however it could use some more depth in every area with added content and teachings "from" the app. Also the biggest thing for me is that you are unable to change the youtube linked video quality. It is set at 720p by default, which is nice, except for if you are in an area with poor connection. All in all I find it ok, its got a good base but it could be more useful.
Very topical and superficial. Shows enough to prove a move works but videos are more of a quick demo rather than detailed tutorial making self learning nearly impossible Not to mention lack of suggested drills or stretched that a real teacher would show in order to lead up to a maneuver. Better off just googling a defense move you want to learn or do what real people do and join a dojo because even the best vids won't help your lack of muscle memory that truly makes the difference in a fight. Jack Reacher didn't learn off an app.
After a brief review of content. I am extremely impressed at the instruction. Was being taught Krav a while back and enjoyed it much. However, my instructor had some issues and flaked on me. I would appreciate this being kept on the app, as I will indeed be using it to train. Do you have a website?
Excellent for all levels. Beginners can see what this Style involves, and can even start practicing until they have access to live instruction at a school. Those learning from instructors can go over these examples and freeze frames, to work on technique. Experts & Instructors can use this app as reference for when their students are on their own. Cool, helpful App.
New high quality videos and much more content to learn and train krav maga. New spanish section.
