About this app

Do Not Disturb (DND 3.0) App enables smart phone users to register their mobile number under DND to avoid Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC)/ Telemarketing Calls / SMS. This is based on TRAI, “Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulations, 2018”.

The App helps you:

1. Set your DND preferences.
2. Lodge a UCC complaint with your service provider.
3. Check the status of complaints filed with your service provider.

The App requires permission to access your address book to distinguish between calls/messages from your saved contacts and those from unknown telemarketers. You contact list is neither uploaded to the backend, nor shared in any manner.

The new release has the following additional features:

· An intelligent spam detection engine (for SMS only) to assist the subscriber in reporting

· Crowdsourcing of data about offending messages and calls to speed up detection of unregistered telemarketers

· Updates about action taken on complaints within the App

· Easier interface and set up

Note: In MIUI Phones, permission has to be added manually for getting list of messages from header like XY-AAAAAA. For this, Please go to app permissions and click on other permissions. Select DND app and you will find Service SMS field which is disabled. Please enable this field to view header sms in DND App.

Fully buggy app. First of all, I'm not even able to raise a complain if I didn't pick the call. Asume you get a lot spam calls from a number and you decide to ignore them or block them. But now you can't even report them, unless you pick those calls that you the report. But in case you do pickup a call and once it lists that call in the app, and you try to submit that complain, now the Complain button (submit functionality) wouldn't even work.

The application is great. Thanks to the development team,the department and the people at back end. The call log of the application is not updated as the call is recieved. If I answer the call then it's updated in the call log of the application, if I don't answer then it's not updated. This is the only issue I have faced so far. Thank you for responding and resolving the unwanted call and message which I was facing frequently.

Works like magic. I used to get dozens of spam calls everyday. It has gotten to a point I missed actual important calls because of it. After downloading it, I get almost no spam call now. I would've never thought an app recommended to me by a random reddit comment be so effective. Thank you TRAI for making this app and restoring my peace.
