Ratings and reviews

I always though this was a broken app. It's just that the only station I listen to doesn't seem to allow buffering or pausing. But TuneIn didn't bother to indicate that it only works on some stations, so it's not a broken app. It just doesn't bother telling you when a feature is going to be disabled. So still a poor review.

This app used to be wonderful but recently, it has inundated with a flurry of ads. I understand subsidizing playing music with ads in order to provide free music, but I just endured 11 ads in a row and that's a regular occurrence. I might hear three songs and then 10 or 11 ads in a straight row. Used to it would be like 2 or 3 ads in a row and a longer period of continuous music. I'm moving on to the app Radio FM and uninstalling this app.

TuneIn has an ongoing timing synch problem in which the ads they layer over certain program streams cut in early, and step on the last two seconds of the stream. It's particularly noticable with MSNBC. This happens both in the mobile app and with the in-vehicle Tesla app. About twice a year, I have to force some level 1 tech support person at TuneIn to understand this, which takes weeks each time, before they escalate it properly and, months later, fix it. It's ridiculous.
