Review from A Google User
Support? This app looks cool but offered a very limited list of tv providers - my cable service wasn't listed. And, until you choose a provider you cannot get into the app at all. It allows you to report if your provider is missing but then.......nothing, just an autoreply. It has been uninstalled and that is too bad.
Peel had a shaky start after it's replacement of the HTC built in app, but it started to get better and better...It has now taken so many steps back and is succumbed to essentially being a preinstalled advertisement... while already redicilous to include ads on preinstalled software, there is no visible way to remove them. Not even an ad-free paid version (y'know on top of the cost of the phone). A company that has faith in a product, such as this, should not have to rely on ads...it's barely usable anymore
Intrusive ads. App has possibilities, but ads are distracting, and overwhelming.
Remember the days long ago where you would see "After these messages we'll be right back" while watching a TV show? That was your cue to use the remote to change channels. Now imagine if you got that message BECAUSE you used your remote. That's where this app fits in! Want to turn off your TV? Here's a word from our sponsor! Even using the desktop widget will bring up a full screen ad. Terrible.
I just want to be able to change the volume on my TV without having a full screen ad pop-up while I'm trying to point my phone in the right place, then look down to watch it go from Priceline ad to browser to Google Play to Priceline splash to booking a hotel, none of which I can back out of until it's done while the TV is blaring incredibly loud and making my daughter cry in the background.
App freezes or gets stuck when you try to enable the function to login. Any ideias?
