Loved twitch on my desktop but wanted an easy way to watch on my TV (I use Chromecast for most of my streaming needs). This app works wonderfully and since the update is much easier to navigate. One suggestion: when playing past broadcasts under the videos tab on a channel, you are unable to adjust the play rate i.e. fast forward or rewind. I feel like that's a very easy function to add and extremely helpful. Thanks!!
The chat keep saying that it's connecting, but doesn't connect. And why can't subscriber emotes show up as icons in the chat? Edit: The previous update made it almost impossible to watch anything!
Playback position should be remembered when the app is automatically dumped from RAM by the OS or closed by the user. It should also be synced with the server and the web version, like Youtube does. The videos and the order of them (e.g. under Past Broadcast) should be the same as the web version. It's difficult to get to past broadcasts when the channel is live. Can't view the current broadcast from the beginning as long as it's being streamed live. Chromecast support is terrible.
Fix the darn Chromecast ability! Absolute trash steam quality when utilizing this app to cast vs other options. The app also has zero support for either ffz or bttv emotes. We also could also really use a AMOLED (dark) theme mode, to save our batteries when watching chat!
Totally broken with chromecast!! I paid for prime and it won't even play on my damn tv. Please fix this feature
After the past few updates (2-3 aprox.) portrait mode chat messages have been causing the video of streams to stutter, hiccup, and freeze. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (Samsung UNLOCKED) with android version 7.0 Samsung unlocked firmware. SM-G935U is the hardware ID for reference.
Couch potatoes rejoice! Twitch comes to Android TV.
