Not very good... This app is not that clear. When you are watching the video on the phone, if I don't keep tapping the screen every 5 to 10 seconds, it always closes automatically after about 10 seconds. I called my camera compnay to make a complaint and they said for me to change the settings on the phone so it doesn't go to sleep mode after 10 seconds. But that is not the solution. The app should be written so when the app is working the phone is not going to sleep mode. I don't have this problem with the Lorex app.
Not working on Android 5 Hello, I have previously been using gvaview 1.3.1 on a Samsung Note 3 with no problems. I have now changed to a Samsung S6 with Android 5.0.2 and I can not get the app to work correctly, it will install and connect to the server but it will not actually load the camera feeds, instead it continuously says that it is loading. Is there a solution to this problem or a newer version? Mark
Buggy.... Although I have used the system reliably for many years, recent upgrades have been frustrating! Documentation though seemingly complete lacks detailed information. I am sure it is not an easy task to deploy this software/hardware combo to the multitude of different windows hardware combinations. Unless you like a frustrating challenge, you are better off buying an off the shelf security system from Samsung.
Cannot save profile Cannot create NVR profile. The software is supposed to show you a page to setup a connection. Only possible to access through the menu. However, there is a parse error and it will not save or attempt connection. This app is just not ready.
Works.. But Not impressed with look As an integrator, one of the most impressive and "wow" moments happen when I setup their mobile devices for remote viewing. I have worked with a variety of manufactures and although Geovision makes excellent camera and fully featured software they definitely fail in the aesthetically pleasing department. The app layout and buttons are crude and looks like was written on a commodore. They could spend a few bucks starting from the ground up. Personally I find "IP Can viewer" to be as good or better for GV cam
Works like a charm Downloaded for S3 and everything works perfectly including RPB. As a tech all my clients love it. I also found faked but newer Geovision works as well . As long as you get the settings on PC, router and phone right it should work. The latest 8.5.7 version increases the live view resolution and is highly recommended.
