So far it works splendidly although the ads are very inconvenient. Am thinking of going premium soon just get rid of the ads. Another suggestion is the names of the downloaded files. Should stick as it is in the caption of the file.

I bought the premium version but now that I have to restore the purchase it just gives me "unknown backend error". I'm not paying for it again.

Asks for notifications permission, and there is no way to skip it. I don't want to give notifications permission, never seen such an app

There is no need to skip it. When you click on the Grant Permission button, you can just click on 'Don't Allow' and notifications will be disabled for this app by the system
