I thought this app would be good to up my daily dog walk. Unfortunately if I open a gate, climb a style or slow just momentarily to call the dogs the app registers that I am not walking briskly. So, for instance, today despite walking 51 of our 75 minute walk briskly (it's Christmas so they deserved it!) according to the app I didn't achieve my 1 "active 10" !!!! My advice. Plan your walk carefully and don't let your dogs make a business stop! 😀 Now where's the turkey? Merry Christmas.
I don't want to carry my phone with me when I go for a walk so unless this can link to an activity tracker such as UP or Fitbit it's actually quite useless. Am uninstalling but would reinstall in the future if it links to a fitness tracker
Definitely a useful app to encourage regular walking. Would be improved if the active time charts could be zoomed to be able to see exactly how long the brisk sections are, what speed is actually achieved etc, and if the charts over time could expand over 40. Also, stops working periodically for no obvious reason.
Doesn't handle late night walks - somehow lost all of the previous day's activity after a midnight ramble. REALLY freaked out in a different time zone and lost the lot on return. Occasionally doesnt register activity and needs a phone restart.
Good idea. But despite the blurb it is very unforgiving of e.g. waits to cross the road. In an urban setting it is pretty much impossible to walk any distance without pausing at pedestrian crossings. What about an "urban mode" that is more lenient about such pauses?
When it works, it's great but there seems to be a glitch. I went for a several-hour brisk walk today and when I came back and checked it, it was as if I hadn't been anywhere at all. This isn't the first time it has happened. My phone was charged and on, so I have no idea why.
