About this app

Fed up with your important messages and calls to family members being missed?

RespondASAP is a means for family members to ensure that their important and urgent messages are seen.

With almost 20,000 downloads, RespondASAP has thousands of happy users. If you do happen to have any issues or questions, I also RespondASAP to your questions and will resolve any problems you may have with the app - so please email me at nick@respondasap.co.uk in the first instance.

The app needs to be installed on the phones of two family members who wish to able to send urgent messages (ASAPs) to each other. Currently it only works on Android, but we are looking to get it rolled onto iOS shortly.

It is free to download, but if you want to invite someone then there is a small, one-off fee. If you have been invited then it is totally free to use - this means if you are inviting your child, then they will not have to pay to use the app. There are no adverts either.

The app is translated into:
简体中文

عربى

Latinoamericano

Italiano

Português

русский

How it works:

One family member installs the app and then sends an invitation message to the second. The second family member has to accept that invitation and install the app before any ASAPs can be sent. This means that both parties have to agree to using the app - so make sure you have a chat between you about the reasons, and need, for it before installing it.

Once installed and the invite accepted, either member is able to send ASAP messages to the other. The arriving ASAP will appear over the screen of the other and sound the alarm until the ASAP message is acknowledged (note: this app DOES NOT lock the phone). When acknowledged, the sender will receive a notification that the message has been seen so can be sure that the receiver is aware of the ASAP message.

ASAP messages can be sent both ways. So if a child needs to get an important message to a parent then this can be done too.

RespondASAP has safeguards in place so that if either person no longer wants to stay connected to the other, then they simply uncheck a box (and/or uninstall the app) and then the other person will no longer be able to send them messages.

If you are connected to more than one family member then you can send a group ASAP to all, or some, of them.

RespondASAP was previously known as ReplyAsap and had over 130,000 downloads and worldwide media coverage RespondASAP is the app that helps parents and children stay safe and in touch across the globe.

If you have any questions or feedback about the app, please email me at nick@respondasap.co.uk and I'll be happy to answer your questions.

Thought this was genius. Unfortunately it doesn't lock his apps. And if you don't allow them ability to reply with asap it doesn't turn off the noise. Why is there a snooze button? Did a practice message to myself that was a mistake. Had to uninstall because it wouldn't let me open the message and respond. The message alarm is annoying, which is PERFECT! You have a great idea and i know it is new. Continue to work out the bugs and maybe i will try again. Best of luck.

Hi Jamie Thanks for your email. You are right, the app doesn’t lock the person’s apps (this is stated in the listing). The arriving message has 2 options; Cancel and Snooze (similar to an alarm). We are looking to change these to make the user select how to respond. Please can you email me and we can discuss further? Nick

I have a Samsung Note 8. My son has a Moto Z2 Play. I went to send him a second test ASAP, but when he received it, the App displayed that it must close and that it is not working, it now does this even after resetting the phone. I was able to send 1 test ASAP that did work, but this is how the ASAP app responded. 1) it does not interrupt another app, such as clash royale. 2) the volume is controlled by his media volume, which can be turned and not be heard.

Unfortunately I can't get past the sign up process. I click submit after reading the terms of agreement and nothing happens. Tried to start over several times but it appears that if the boxes don't turn yellow, you're out of luck & I don't have a referral code, so that box doesn't turn yellow. Anyway, unable to sign up :(

Hi Kelly Thanks for your feedback. Have you got special characters in the phone number box I.e. 123-1234-1234? If so that may be the issue. Please email me at nick@respondasap.co.uk and I’ll be happy to help. Thanks. Nick
