Just starting out I have just begun playing chess & this app is great & very small (11MB) so doesn't take up much space on my phone. It has a tutuor to help you with moves, but I turned that option off ofter the first day & have been winning & sometimes losing along the way. A few ads here & there but you can't complain as it's free. I have no one to play chess with, so this app is perfect for me.
Good game Only complaint I have is that even the easiest level (other than practice) is really hard. Granted, I am a beginner at chess, however I've played the AI at level 1 about ten times and haven't been able to win once. There's a large gap in skill between practice and level 1.
Great game I myself love chess and I have been ranked a grand master in it for two years now and I see you use pointers to show where to move to. I think that it will be most usefull to tell the player he is wrong and only after the third incorrection you should show them how to move.Further this is a great game and I reccomend it for beginners to grand masters (like myself )
Great game for any level Really great version, I am enjoying myself immensely. One issue I've found is the grading of difficulty. Levels one and two I win everytime I play and quite decisively. Then switching up to level 3 the jump in difficulty is crazy high. I am already needing to play near flawless chess just to win.
LOVED THIS GAME This game os very intresting. Its intresting features like tutor guided me nicely. I won more than 5 times. Even though I am just a learner now I can get rid of my father who is a national player.
Good app, poor AI Overall a good app, does what it needs to do. My only criticism would be with the AI- it is strategic in the wrong sort of way. It thinks too many moves in advance for the level of difficulty. The lower levels are only easy because the AI makes silly moves and gives pieces away- need more middle ground.
- Book greatly improved after new fix.
