Taught me how to play! Love this game. I didn't have a clue what Gin Rummy was when I started, only that they played it on MASH. Now, I feel I can confidently challenge anyone. My only complaint is the highest level opponent, Harry. I understand Gin is partially luck, but I'm pretty sure he stacks the deck (how else does he always get quick wins and great hands?). Harry aside (and even included) I completely recommend the game.
Great game. I played the hardest AI 100 times and won 63/100. I feel strongly that the AI does not cheat. A good player can predict what cards he is holding and keep cards that he wants. I think when the player is close to winning the AI gets more aggressive (holds riskier cards) but I'm not sure. Challenging and enjoyable at all levels of play due to the wide array of opponents.
Very fun and well done Enjoy this, as many of the other games by this company, as much as can be expected. Great variety of players, simple play, and good fun all around. Only thing I wish was an option was to just tap the card to discard it, like in the other games. I know it is only another tap, but it is mildly annoying after playing Hearts, Euchre and Spades by the same company, and with the same opponents, and having to put that mental tap command in your mind.
Fun game This app works well and is fun to play. The only improvement I could suggest would be options to change game rules and scoring bonuses (e.g., allow 25 pts for undercut instead of 10).
Needs to prove it doesn't stack the deck. The developer has stated on numerous responses the game "randomly shuffles" and the AI is used in "serious academic research" (which does not preclude manipulation AFTER a random deal). I suggest a mode where the player can learn how to play better by seeing the opponent's hand and what is dealt. This game, regardless of the developer's responses, seems to have too many hands with "super quick" wins and pre-emptive gameplay. I suggest proving it's random with a "teaching" mode.
Good Game Pretty good game, fast play and challenging. If you knock before your opponent you tend to get the cards for gin in the next hand. If you're opponent knocks first, then then will. Stay in the lead and you will win every game.
