No 19x19 or game record The 19x19 only goes to 180 moves and the AI doesn't know the word resignation, so you can't finish these games. I intend to buy the paid version when they have game record. Allowing to save games, export as sgf and (if possible) review them would be great. There was some guy on OGS that made a great sgf viewer with review functionality in 1 week, so I don't understand why they are taking so long to add one here.
Strong AI next to Crazy Stone Deep Learning. Features are not as rich either. Touch zoom control in CS is much easier to use. 2D in CS free may be slightly weaker than 3D but you can play full 19x19 game there. There's no 180 move limit in CS free. Thinking time in CS is more than 10 times faster in all levels. Even 5D in CS is faster than 3D here. This app is really good actually. Unfortunately there's better one available. AI Factory needs to update this dated app to keep its competitive edge.
Great for beginners I'm pretty new to go and can beat the easiest AI, which is satisfying when you are starting out. of course there are many levels for different players. EDIT: In order to undo you need to press the left single arrow TWICE and then you can do a new move. That was what I was messing up. :)
I really like the app so far. The rules are very easy to understand and this gives a lot of options to change game play no matter your experience level. I am just learning the rules now and the only thing I wish they had was an explanation on how the score is calculated. I know it has a display but I wish I could learn how to tally score for if I was playing on a real go board.
It's a good game. The difficulty grades out in distinct growth. I'm no expert at Go by any means and don't know any studied strategies, but the app does help me at least understand bot patterns and the most basic concepts well
Touch isn't perfect and as such you often misplace stones. It would be nice to be able to confirm the placements with an additional button. Edit: even with the offset (which I have enabled) I misplace stones. It's not that I don't see where I place it, but sometimes just before releasing I accidently place it in an adjacent cell.
- Resign Match option added to action bar menu
- Undoing one or two moves no longer leads to prompt when continuing
- Translations added for Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese
