The Cateran Trail is one of Scotland's Great Trails, named after the lawless highlanders who used the route for their exploits. The App will bring you the stories, myths and history as you walk through Strathardle, Glen Isla and Glenshee
This app is designed to accompany you along the Cateran Trail. Small sign posts with unique icons have been place along the trail. Each icon marks a point of interest and this app will tell you all about each point. There are two main ways to navigate between points of interest in the app.
Method 1: Trail Guide by Stages
For when you know where you are and want to click through to the point of interest. Click on the stage you are about to walk and the icons are shown in the order that you will reach them in.
Method 2: Trail Guide by Icons
All the icons are shown on a single page, in no particular order, can you match the icon to the signpost? Click the correct icon and you are rewarded with the information.
The Cateran Trail is 64 miles/103km long and can be walked comfortably in 4/5 days. It is managed and promoted by Perth & Kinross Countryside Trust with the cooperation of the land owners through whose land it passes.
