Thought despite the reviews I'd give it a try. Could it be that bad? Yes, it is. Unintuitive options, no clear user feedback, and an all round experience that at best leaves you baffled, at worst dispairing. But I persevered and poked around until I managed to submit something. Or had I? Poked some more, gave up, hit back button and there was my report, unsent! To top it all, after submitting I then get an email saying 'your reference is FAILED'!
So, pretty much every other council makes do with the established app FIX My Street. Not Ealing, they have to spend extra money reinventing the wheel & launch a clearly inferior product. WHY!??!
The concept is great, but you are unable to mark the location unless you are making the report from the exact spot of the issue that you want to report. I wanted to report an abandoned bike at the junction of Shakespeare Road and Greenford Avenue whilst in West Ealing. The map located me precisely in West Ealing, but I wasn't able to change the marker to Greenford Avenue making the location invalid. Uninsulated it...back to Fix my street. com Update 12.4.17 I did all of what you are asking me to do prior to writing my review. The app map defaulted to the location where I was writing the report from which was I expected, but when I attempted to move the pin to the location where I wanted to report the fault it swung back to where I was at the time! I then manually typed the address into the box, but this was overruled by the map pin locating me to where I was resulting in the wrong location being given.
It's not intuitive but works perfectly , when you confirm your email go to "begin", choose your location, then on top right corner press small black arrow and proceed with you report. Once it's send you'll get brief confirmation.
not even able to enter the app cumbersome process the idea is great though
No help at all unless your reporting at the time your there. No option to report at a later time.
