This app would be great if only it worked and there were more options. The app itself is a wonderful idea however it has quite a few things that can be improved or fixed to help learners excel at learning Gaelic. The music is so loud you can't hear the pronunciation of the letters to pronounce them. Some of the letters do not have voiced pronunciations. If there were a setting to lower the music or decrease the background music from the letters pronunciation itself than maybe you could raise and lower the volume at your own level in order to hear your lesson.
Needs work Volume needs balancing...hard to hear on the Samsung Galaxy and background music does overpower the speech. Needs an exit button or use the back button to exit, only way out is to use the home button which leaves it running in the background. Nice concept and hope to see further development.
Weans love it.
Good idea, but needs work Great idea, just a few niggles. The background music is a bit loud, the letters don't align properly in the grid so you can't see the whole letter, there isn't an option to go through the letters without a matching word ( like an ABC song). Only beta though, so I look forward to the next version.
Samsung Galaxy S3 I love that this app lets you start with the fundementals. But N through U does not have any sound at all. Plus, the background music is just loud enough to distract from hearing the proper enounciation of the animal names. I would give 5 stars if app worked properly and if the background music volume were turned down just a bit.
Fun way to start learning the sounds of Gaelic, both of my kids love it. Slight glitch with last 2 letters not having sound, but a great starting point
Fixed a typo and updated SDK target.
