Play the steel pans on your Android tablet!


This steel pan trainer is meant for use on a tablet; although it works on some phones, the layout is very small.

Note: the highest note on the tenor pan does not sound on a Google Nexus 7, but does on some other tablets.
You may need to use headphones, as the notes are quiet.

Ratings and reviews

The app now has the icon strip (with play and record buttons) across the pans so you can no longer play all of the notes. Please sort this otherwise it's useless and will need to be uninstalled. I like the range of pans, but the strip has taken my review to 1 star.

Decent. Could use a rotator coding so if you are used to the pans being in a certain position, you can easily rotate it. I use to play double second with a high F, and the F would be to the bottom right underneath the lower B being directly right. And a zoom function could also be useful.

This is literally everything I want in a music playing app shy of doing actual composition. It's lightweight, has no ads, and has a great selection of configurations with great sound. Perfect for someone who is trying to get a feel for playing the steel pan drums.
