About this app

Play the steel pans on your Android tablet!

This steel pan trainer is meant for use on a tablet; although it works on some phones, the layout is very small.

Note: the highest note on the tenor pan does not sound on a Google Nexus 7, but does on some other tablets.
You may need to use headphones, as the notes are quiet.

This is a great app for tennor players, and with all of the new layouts for different seconds that the developer has been adding, it's really useful for other band sections too. I'd previously commented that the layouts for the seconds on the app didn't unfortunately match the layout that c we used, and Don kindly reached out and offered to add in the layout of we got a photograph over. That's brilliant customer services+ makes this app really engaging +makes learning pan accessible for all. Thx

Hi SRS. The 7 new layouts you sent me are now in V2.4 of the app.

Really helpful app for a beginner to practise at home. Works great on my phone and also on my Chromebook - practising on the Chromebook in tablet mode is a lot easier than on a tiny phone screen :) The app resizes really well. Don (the developer) was also happy to add a new layout for me, and was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. Definitely recommend!

Decent. Could use a rotator coding so if you are used to the pans being in a certain position, you can easily rotate it. I use to play double second with a high F, and the F would be to the bottom right underneath the lower B being directly right. And a zoom function could also be useful.
