About this app
The Muslim Funeral Society was established over 40 years ago, in 1980 by local community members in Rotherham. These volunteers recognised a need to support burials abroad and the need to transport deceased loved ones to Pakistan.
Muslim Funeral Society is and always has been run by a group of dedicated volunteers.
In the early days contributions were collected when a death occurred. Over the years this ‘informal’ process has gradually developed into a membership structure which now has around 700 members.
We have helped approximately 1500 families to ease the financial burdens relating to funerals costs.
