Getting started
Whether you’re an existing or new Metro Bank customer it’s simple to get started.
- If you’re registered for online and telephone banking, you’ll need your 12 digit customer number, 8 digit security number and your password
- If you’re not registered for either, you’ll need your 12 digit customer number and the details of the card you used most recently or your Magic Word.

Metro Bank’s mobile app is available for Personal customers and also Business customers if they’re using Business Internet Banking only.

Smooth app and easy to use but it is so basic and lacks in many areas. What is the point of an app if I can't print statements without having to login to the web version. I can't search for transactions and I don't get any notifications for money received. Also transactions take so long to clear and sometimes I'm not sure what my exact balance is. I have had some transactions pending for more than a week; this ain't fast banking. Starling and Monzo apps are way better.

very useful app. easy to use. intuitive. Recently the app has become very unstable. It rarely starts up straight away and frequently crashes in the middle of a transaction. It always crashes during first time authentication. Well here are a couple of years down the line and this app is worse than ever. Why? Great when it works but hell it takes patience!

App keeps closing on its own, especially when clicking insights. The app is pretty much useless at the moment. Since September or October the app is constantly not working. Especially during the time I need it most which is during the day. It now down 01/12/22.
