IMPORTANT: REQUIRES SUPERUSER (ROOTED PHONES)
Press [MENU] to configure automation so the selected DNS settings will stick throughout connectivity changes.
Select to only automate on 3G or WIFI connections.
DNS list updates on startup, if internet connectivity is available.
Note that some Internet Service Providers restrict access to certain resources via DNS requests. If unable to access said resources, please try turning off automation and reconnecting to 3G first.
IMPORTANT: REQUIRES SUPERUSER (ROOTED PHONES)
Internet access permission is required to download the latest list of DNS providers for quick selection via the dropdown list.
When you switch to Static IP mode, DNS Setting will copy all values from your dynamic IP setting. Now it's easy to change DNS addresses (or IP, Subnet Mask address...) and save it. You can switch back to Dynamic IP mode.
I use it to set Google Public DNS!
** For Rooted Devices Only **
DNS Changer Root provides a quick easy interface for changing the DNS servers and search domains on your android phone or tablet. Choose from several available public servers such as OpenDNS or specify your own.
Now can automatically switch and apply settings for Wifi connections are detected.
Displays network information and diagnostics: Ping a server, DNS lookup (with geographical lookup of IP addresses), reverse DNS lookup, WHOIS queries, inspecting HTTP response headers, trace routes (also with IP address geo lookup), check whether a range of ports is open, scan a host for SSL versions and ciphers.
Includes home screen widget for long-running pings.
Recently used servers/IP addresses are remembered for auto-completion.
The results can be copied to the clipboard (via long-click on the output text), sent via email or stored in a file as text or PDF. A history of the results of recent operations is kept (swipe left and right to switch between tabs).
Numerous options (like using an alternative name server, Ping TTL, showing ping times for each traceroute step, Broadcast Ping, using HTTPS, setting the HTTP port number, selection of DNS record types to query, etc.) are available through a long-click on the "Go" button.
Contains no ads.
Please join the Google community "Ping & DNS" where I support this app, especially if you're having problems.
Samsung devices: Ping and Traceroute no longer work on some Samsung devices on Android 4.2 and newer; there's unfortunately nothing I can do about that - Samsung removed needed functionality.
New in 2.0: A new look with an option to choose a light theme or a dark theme. The big new feature is a home screen widget for long-running pings that can chart and save its results.
WHY THE GPS PERMISSION? First off, GPS is only accessed if the "Show Location" checkbox is set in the Ping Options dialog. This checkbox is turned off by default, so unless you explicitly set it, you don't need to worry about your location ever being tracked. Tracking location is useful for measuring ping times during long-running pings across large areas, like a factory or a university campus. Once a long-running ping with location is done, a Google Earth file (.dmz) is created that shows the ping times along with the geo location of each ping. Most people will never need this option, so you don't have to worry. And even if you do use it, location data is stored on the device, it is not sent or uploaded anywhere (the exception being if you attach the Google Earth file to an outgoing email - in which case you're in charge of where the email is sent to). So all the negative comments you may see in the Play Store are unfounded.

1.14: Add support for CNAME and SOA records
If you do not know what this is you probably do not have it and this will do nothing for you.
Simple app which allows you to change your device's hostname to your custom defined hostname. This setting will remain after rebooting. The device hostname is changed and the network services are toggled so the device updates the DHCP and DNS servers with the new hostname. Once completed you should be able to ping your device at the user defined hostname. For instance, checking a default android device's hostname from DNS would show "android-abcdefghijklmnop" or some long unrecognizable name. Changing the hostname will update DHCP and DNS so that your device will appear as "your-defined-name".
*** REQUIRES ROOT ***
Sorry but this is due to Google making the hostname setting a secure setting. I have no control over this.
WRITE_SETTINGS: Required to change the hostname and toggle airplane mode.
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Determine if we need to toggle the WIFI once the hostname is changed.
CHANGE_WIFI_STATE: Toggle the WIFI if needed.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Retain hostname change across reboot.
★ DNSet works both on Wi-Fi and 3G.
★ WARNING: the app may not work properly on Android 4.4+ due to a known system bug which we are not responsible for. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
DNSet sets Google's public DNS servers (220.127.116.11, 18.104.22.168) on your device. In order to do this it creates a local VPN so you have to authorise the app once. The app quits after the VPN has been initialised, this saves space on your device's precious RAM memory.
Avoiding the ISP's DNS may help in:
* Bypassing restrictions on certain websites
* Speeding up your browsing experience
DNSet is able to start automatically at boot time. Enable the 'auto start' checkbox and a notification will appear every time you turn on your device. Just click on the notification, authorise the app et voilà, Google's DNS servers will be in use.
Tools Summary :
- Run a full DNS Check for a domain.
- Check if a mail server is blacklisted. (checks over 50 known blacklists)
- Check if a mail server accepts a specified email address.
- View the WHOIS of a domain.
- Ping a hostname or IP.
Reverse DNS Lookup
- Lookup the reverse DNS record of a IP.
Works with all dynamic DNS providers, including no-ip.com, changeip.com, zoneedit.com, joker.com, enom.com, namecheap.com.

Need ROOT privileges. Free DNS server/proxy download from here.
Contains two functions，DNS proxy and hosts manager.
DNS proxy (beta)
This is a DNS server tools. Anti-DNS pollution
1 TCP mode to access the remote DNS server to ant DNS pollution.
2 DNS service for LAN.
3 You can view the DNS request log.
4 Can manually specify the domain name IP information.
>> Risk: This may cause the SSL authentication fails.
5 Domain name support * way, eg: *.google.com .
6 Change or repair the system DNS setting (net.dns).
7 DNS caching to reduce network delay. Only cache the IP query results (querytype A or AAAA).
What is dns system?
The domain name system (DNS) is the way that Internet domain names are located and translated into Internet Protocol addresses. A domain name is a meaningful and easy-to-remember "handle" for an Internet address.
Because maintaining a central list of domain name/IP address correspondences would be impractical, the lists of domain names and IP addresses are distributed throughout the Internet in a hierarchy of authority. There is probably a DNS server within close geographic proximity to your access provider that maps the domain names in your Internet requests or forwards them to other servers in the Internet.
This is a /etc/hosts file manage tool .
1 download a hosts file from network.
2 hand-type hosts records.
3 Manage hosts, you can add, delete, enable, disable hosts.
Set Locale and Language
As we know that some rom of Android have no full set of language, sometimes it is hard to set the language you want in your phone.Or if the custom locale function in menu don't support your language, you can try this app!
You can select more locales via this app. This app will tell you what language is supported in your
cellphone, you can set this language by just one click!
If your locale doesn't appear, please use custom locale function in menu.
Save locale function is available.
To search apps for this app, you may try with Key Words:
-more locale 2
-more locale 2 pro
If you have some advice , mail me.If you don't want this app, please don't download it, if you think this
app is helpful ,please rating 5 stars and help us to click some ad to make us work better.Thank you.
After detecting the IP information of desired DNS you can also see the registered location of IP address on Goofle Map.
This application uses the powerful database of ipinfodb.com (http://ipinfodb.com/) to find and store advanced information about the domain name you are searching for.
The basic information about the DNS such as IP address it is registered on will be saved to your Android device, so you can find that information later even without Internet connection.
There is an ability to browse the DNS directly from the application.
There is also an option where you can change the parsing mode of the application - XML or JSON.
The location of the IP address can be located in Google map.
It offers you to view your local IP (same as whatismyip.com), current IP (reverse dns lookup for hostname), remote IP (the actual IP stored with dns provider) and then allow you to manually update the remote IP with your local IP Address or the IP address of your choice by clicking on Local IP.
You type only a hostname/domain or IP address and press a button to see all available information for it.
DNS lookup, MX records, whois, Geographic Location (GeoIP), nameservers info, all with one tap!
The application keeps a history of your checked domains and IP addresses, so that you don't have to type them again by hand.
A great tool for webmasters, system administrators or just for anyone who needs to perform various checks on any domain or IP address.
More from developer
* unlocks the "non-root" version of the app
* unlocks control widgets - so you can view and change your DNS from the home screen
* enables password locking of the settings.
Please download the standard SetDNS app and check that it works on your phone first!
From the Set DNS description:
Preserves your custom nameserver information when using wireless and 3g/edge mobile connection.
Comes with google, opendns, fooldns settings, enter custom DNS servers and option to revert back to DHCP.
You don't need to back up your nameserver details - just reverting back to DHCP will go back to your normal network settings.
Now also contains OpenDNS Family Shield settings.
Please note, entering the wrong nameserver details can break your internet settings.
Also, some mobile operators run web access via a proxy server, in which case the nameservers on the phone can be less relevant.
