This app delivers a static, daily edition of The Times and Sunday Times.

How to access:
The app is free to download. You can read on the Times Classic app in one of the following ways:
- If you are an existing digital subscriber, log in using your email and password.
OR
- Subscribe to The Times and Sunday Times in-app.

Please note:
Payment will be charged to your Google account at confirmation of purchase
Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
You can manage your subscription and switch off the auto-renewal by accessing your Google subscription manager after purchase

Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable

I was looking forward to using this app again but it is awful. It keeps hanging and crashing. Pages are very slow to load (if at all). Everytime it hangs i have to force close the app and restart it. It is too buggy and honestly just does not work. (I am using the Android version). It also does not work well offline (e.g. on a flight). I have deleted, reinstalled it multiple times - it STILL does not work! It is now July 2026 and the app still does not work, and no changes are happening!

The articles simply do not show. The app is unusable, simply because all links to an article lead to a blank screen. This happens even after the app indicates the paper has fully downloaded and the articles appear in the summary pages at the front.

Bug ridden dreadful experience I have lost count the amount of times I have had to reinstall this app or try and reload it. No excuse for delivering a very poor app experience. I am using one of the latest Samsung phones.
