About this app

Listen to hundreds of UK stations for free, with no sign-in, and no extra ads. Enjoy music, news, sport, and subscribe to thousands of shows and podcasts.

Radioplayer is the official radio app for the UK, backed by the BBC and all the major independent broadcasters. It's simple to use, with some powerful features which will help you enjoy radio even more…
- Colourful new 'My stations' dial, so it's easy to find your favourites
- Notifications to remind you about new episodes of your favourite shows
- Powerful search and recommendations, to help you discover new radio
- 'Wrong Way Driver' technology, to alert you to motorway dangers
- Voice control to skip safely through your favourite stations while driving
- Great new Android Auto integrations, for in-car use

Radioplayer sounds great on high-quality speakers, because we offer hi-fi streams direct from broadcasters, which other apps can't access. And when you're on the move, Radioplayer switches to mobile-friendly streams so you don't use so much data.

Take radio to bed, with our Alarm Clock and Sleep Timer. Play your favourites with one tap, using Easy Mode. Listen on your Bluetooth speaker or Cast to your TV.

This radio app has everything from news and sport - to pop, rock, indie, dance, jazz, soul, and classical. It's perfect for live Premier League football, Ashes cricket, Wimbledon tennis, F1 at the weekend, Festivals over the summer, and Christmas radio stations.

UK Radioplayer Ltd is a not-for-profit company, aimed at making radio listening easier. We're backed by the BBC (owners of stations like BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 4 Extra, BBC Radio 5 live, BBC 5 live Sports Extra, BBC Asian Network, and BBC Radio 6 Music).

Our partners also include Bauer Radio (who run Scala, Kiss, Kisstory, Magic, Kerrang, Greatest Hits Radio, Jazz FM, Planet Rock, Absolute Radio, Absolute Radio 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and Classic Rock), and Global Radio (owners of stations like Heart, Capital, Gold, LBC, Radio X, Capital Xtra, Chill, Classic FM, and Smooth).

We also feature hundreds of other stations like Virgin Radio, talkSPORT, and Fun Kids - plus community and student stations – so there's a radio station for every moment of the day. Follow us on Twitter to get updates, and to hear when new stations are added - we're @UKRadioplayer.

I've used this app for years to have a gentle wake up to Radio 4 news when I need an alarm call. Tonight, I've tried to set the alarm but the whole app has changed. It's taken me 10 minutes to find the heart icon for the channel and not just individual shows. Having finally found it, I still can't find the alarm and sleep timer settings. I'm very disappointed! Please bring them back quickly!!!

Hi. However, since yesterday (15th July) I have noticed that all the stations owned by Global on your app are not showing the names of the songs currently playing, only the names of the shows that are currently on air. I have gave this 4 stars as long I can still listen to them stations. I also tried closing, uninstalling and resetting this app several times but made no difference at all. EDIT: Now uninstalled and using individual station apps that do the same thing as you did before. Thanks

Used to be a brilliant app but not anymore, broken in the last few weeks...Alarm function has stopped working, so I barely use this app now...please fix. (Using latest Android on a Pixel) Additionally, you can't select BBC stations or 'Last Played' for the alarm anymore. (Not that it matters seeing as the alarm feature doesn't work anyway...) At least radio X plays properly, which is more than I can say for their own app
