OK, but not as good as the HBOS apps. Main issue is that you have to log into mobile banking to set up new payees. The HBOS apps now do this directly from the app which is much easier. Also, I would like payees to be available to all accounts once defined, and for standing order payees to be added to the payee list automatically, to avoid having to define them more than once. Finally, I would like to see some innovative features like conditional standing orders where a balance condition must be satisfied before a payment is made?
Does the job. Perfectly! I am able to stay on top of my finances and I am able to track my expenses and balance with ease. My expectations were exceeded. Well done Santander! As a bank you have greatly improved both services and products - Trust me, I know! I've banked with you since the bad old days as Abbey National :)
Updates have ruined this previously great app!! One of the best apps I have! Always checking my account as it's so easy to use. Can simply transfer funds from my accounts with a click of the button. Very user-friendly interface too. Edit --> 2 star now as since update or so ago it takes minutes to log in or else it doesn't at all, this never used to happen. Ruined the app!
Nearly Perfect OK, I would like it to be more up to date with current balances. The transactions have been done on a computer, so why does another computer not know about it (I mean the one that feeds the app) and please don't tell me "It's not your computer that feeds the app" that's too scary. I would like (same as just about everyone else on here) to look at my balance and it be bang up to date (otherwise you're only guessing and I can do that). Good note-found the fix for log out. You just log out=no more pop ups.
Good app except a few annoying things Works fine but could be improved in many ways. Two things that must be fixed/added: 1. Add a finger print scanner as the security to log in 2. Remove bug where the phone takes you to the Santander app once logged out due to inactivity (this happens no matter which app you have open at the time)
Needs work App is great for checking current balance when you get around that being the smaller value. Takes 3 days to update, and no real-time updates from contactless. No ability to set up change or cancel payments then customer service loop take forever before you can sort anything....
