OK, but not as good as the HBOS apps. Main issue is that you have to log into mobile banking to set up new payees. The HBOS apps now do this directly from the app which is much easier. Also, I would like payees to be available to all accounts once defined, and for standing order payees to be added to the payee list automatically, to avoid having to define them more than once. Finally, I would like to see some innovative features like conditional standing orders where a balance condition must be satisfied before a payment is made?
Updates have ruined this previously great app!! One of the best apps I have! Always checking my account as it's so easy to use. Can simply transfer funds from my accounts with a click of the button. Very user-friendly interface too. Edit --> 2 star now as since update or so ago it takes minutes to log in or else it doesn't at all, this never used to happen. Ruined the app!
Good app except a few annoying things Works fine but could be improved in many ways. Two things that must be fixed/added: 1. Add a finger print scanner as the security to log in 2. Remove bug where the phone takes you to the Santander app once logged out due to inactivity (this happens no matter which app you have open at the time)
I like it This app gives you all you need for quick mobile banking. There are some things you can't do but that is to set payments up which I think should be done more securely on full site. I only use one other banking app and the Santander app is far better and user friendly.
Needs work App is great for checking current balance when you get around that being the smaller value. Takes 3 days to update, and no real-time updates from contactless. No ability to set up change or cancel payments then customer service loop take forever before you can sort anything....
Not the easiest to budget with I wish this app would allow me to look back and see my balance for each day, like the app I use for an account I have with another bank. Their app allows me to look at my balance and compare it to this day last month etc, so I can easily work out how much money I really have left to go out. Make that change and you'd have a 5 star app.
