Worked fine and UI was easy to navigate, programmes loaded first time, but could do with better controls such as proper pause, fast fwd etc and not restarting from the ads at every interruption. Finally needs ChromeCast support so I can watch in bed on my (dumb) TV instead of a 5" screen.
Ok app missing two important features. Should be able to download content for viewing without a data signal and more importantly the app needs to support Chromecast. Of limited use until at least one of these things is sorted. Videos play fine though and less ads than the other tv apps I can think of.
Love UKTV programmes, unfortunately this app is clearly still in early stages of development... I'm one of many users who is only able to watch 8 seconds of adverts followed by a spinning loading symbol. Have tried clearing cache, but this has been persistent for months now. As many users have pointed out, it also doesn't support Chromecast. As the app doesn't fulfill its primary function, it has to get 1 star. =/
Since the latest update. Adverts can be played but the programes don't. When forced to.leave programe the advise given in app is to check internet connection whi h is working fine.for.playing adverts but not the actual programe. Just the loading loop of blue doom. I've cleared my tablet cashe and app cashe . Loads of space. Just does not play the programes. Up to the latest update it has worked great on my tablet.
I'm on a Galaxy S6 phone and have never been able to play an actual episode of anything to date. I have tried older and newer programmes but only get the loading symbol following the adverts (which play absolutely fine). When I cancel, I get a notification telling me to check my Internet connection (which is also fine). I have kept the app updated in the hope that the latest update may allow me to watch something but sadly I am still without luck.
Gobsmacked! It seems I am not alone in my disbelief that Chromecast is not supported, despite being one of the top devices in use, and yet I read that it works on obscure platforms! I'm not an IT expert, but I can't believe it is not that difficult. Everyone else managed. There's probably a straightforward patch available.
We found a few bugs, trapped them under a glass and released them safely into the wild…
