Pretty cool, but I like it, the emulation of a gamepad in pc, in particular. It is easy to use and it is a nice touch to be able to create your own layouts. But there are two things i'd love to be changed: First, the decision of whether using a slider as the X and Y axis instead of the phone tilting only. And second, there seems to be a limitation in the number of buttons of the emulated gamepad ( 12 plus axis). If you could correct the first issue, it would be a kickasss app!
I like it, but... I'm trying to use it as a controller for PC games, where I'd need to use a mouse and keyboard buttons at the same time. And I can't figure out how to do it. Whenever I create a trackpad in the layout editor, it doesn't work. Even the sample trackpad layout doesn't work. The trackpad that came pre-installed works, though, so I feel like there is a way. There just isn't an email for technical support. Some help would be greatly appreciated! Nice app.
Very easy to setup and use. I paired over wifi with the barcode scanner... that was a nice touch. Very easy. I'm using this to make some portable rudder pedals for flight simulators. This is absolutely perfect for this. It looks to only show up as one device no matter how many phones you have connected. Very nice app.
issue for connect i downloaded the droid pad 2.1 to my computer. and i downloaded the app to my phone(samsung android) but i can't connect them to use as a mouse for my laptop. my phone never shows up in the list when it says "scanning for devices". i dont have wifi so need to use the usb mode. but on my pc client. it doesnt show any option for me to do so. what do i do to be able to connect via usb? pls reply.
Works great, but has a few hitches... Droidpad is definitely among the apps I've been looking for as some of the games I play on the PC works much better with a customized layout. It's not perfect though, as the PC software half of the app does crash from time to time, which means you're in trouble if it happens right in the middle of a game. My biggest gripe, though, concerns the borders for each button. Since I'm looking at the screen and not at the phone, when I end up pressing the border of the button instead of the middle, then it won't register. If I'm playing a fast-paced game should that happen, then I'm screwed. If there was an option to just make the borders register taps as well, everything would pretty much be perfect.
GreatIdea, but needs more configuration/calibration Trying to play a flight sim, and the plane wont take off, tried calibrating and i cant change the z axis at all, and x and y are bound to tilt instead of the sliders on screen with no option to change. Like the direction it is headed in, but still needs some work
