Ratings and reviews

In absolute terms, maybe 3* because it is usable, but a massive downgrade in functionality, usability and style from the version available until end of 2025. Side by side comparison of screenshots shows there's less info, worse info, bad layout and so on. I, and many others, have have diligently provided feedback (because we care!) and it has been all but ignored. UKMO should have had the guts to reject the new app until it was on par with the old version. Very disappointed (I am ex UKMO too!)

This app is pretty useless when it comes to the local weather overview. The daily summary will often show completely different weather from the hourly summary. And whilst it's a probability based prediction, the weather shown almost always changes in the space of 48hrs prior to the day. Worst still it will show sunshine when it's actually raining. The most reliable part is the rain map, that is usually the most accurate at predicting the weather. Happy to provide screenshots to the developers.

Widget, the APP is very accurate, it changes like the weather, mmm, which is good I think as you are aware of any sudden weather changes, but ! The widget on my Pixel 6 will not load on the screen, even on a totally blank screen, it has done in the past, however since I factory resent my phone the widget no longer loads.
