About this app

Try Dry is the powerful, easy to use, and totally free app helping tens of thousands of people to take control of their drinking. Try Dry is the official app of Dry January, run by the charity Alcohol Change UK.

Co-created with drinkers and based on behavioural science and a culture of experimentation, Try Dry contains unique features such as 'planned drinking', custom goals, and special missions! Unlike many 'sobriety-only apps', it works brilliantly whether you want to cut back or try being sober.

Whether you’re taking on Dry January, doing Sober Spring, making a longer-term change to your drinking, or just cutting back, Try Dry is your friendly year-round support system.

Edited review - app is working and love it! I had an issue when the app stopped working - it turns out my internet provider was blocking it for some reason, so if this happens to you check your security settings. I love the app - it keeps me motivated and seeing the yellow squares for each dry day in the calendar is really satisifying.

Great in theory, but the motivational part with goals and badges that sets it apart from other apps is full of bugs; it's effectively just a log. Support just ignore you when the usual reinstall/reboot advice doesn't fix it.

This is a really handy little app. I've actually been using it all year round to keep a log of the days I drink and if it's been planned or not. There are little goals you can set too where you collect badges for your achievements. You can also see how much you spend/ or save. Simple layout, easy to use. Thanks
