About this app

The free Daily Readings app features a modernised version of CH Spurgeon's Morning & Evening, a full ESV Bible text, and hymn suggestions with playable accompaniment perfect for singing along to.

Each day features a separation devotion for morning and evening and includes:

- The Bible verse selected by CH Spurgeon
- A short additional Bible reading chosen to complement Spurgeon’s comments
- A hymn to read or sing, along with the accompanying music
- The meditation from CH Spurgeon which has been lightly modernized
- A “for thought and prayer” section at the end of each reading

There are also sections describing how to use the App, the various copyright and license agreements, a privacy statement, a feedback section, and access to the complete ESV.

Ratings and reviews

It worked well for a few days and the content is excellent, but the app then refused to open, with a message saying " this app requires active internet access" I deleted it and downloaded it again but got the same message. I tried to change the permissions in "settings" but there wasnt anything about allowing internet access there...Then after about five minutes it started to work again properly. So patience seems to be the answer!

Wow! This App is great and everything I have ever wanted or ever need. It has really enriched my quiet time with God and I am feeling so incredibly blessed. I just love how it opens with a Scripture reading and then C.H.Spurgeon's Daily reading and then to be able to top it off with a lovely Hymn. The beauty is that you can get to do it all again in the evening. What a great way to start and end each day! The for thought and prayer section is valuable in challenging us to practice what we read and learn The App, itself, is very easy to use and to navigate. I wish I had found this app a long time ago. I want to thank the developers for this God sent app, it has blessed my life more than you can know

The app is well designed and easy to navigate. A great way to read the classic Spurgeon devotional and the Scriptues. Love the full Bible access and the hymns are a feature not frequently found in other free apps. Praying many people will be blessed by this resource.
