I have been using this for years, first on a Galaxy S5, then on Pixel 5a. Always thought it was a great app for finding and displaying photos. Unfortunately, when my Pixel updated to Android 14 a few days ago, the Camera Roll app became very slow. It does work, but takes 15-30 seconds to load up when started. Sometimes loading fails completely and I have to try again. Going to have to find another app for finding photos on my Pixel. Stars removed for not keeping up with latest Android version.

This app crashes sometimes. It takes time to load and hence when I open this app the black screen stays till I refresh it. Recently it'll get stuck on a certain pic as I open the app & won't budge unless I tap out and close it. It does not show all the pictures/video in their folder. I found them missing while they're showing in other gallery (apps). And there's hardly any colors of themes available. Often requires me to delete files multiple times before it actually deletes them.

I used the Camera Roll app for 2 weeks. For an unknown reason, a picture folder was not accessible, not visible anymore. I tried everything to no avail. Moreover when you scroll through an existing folder to the bottom, immediately that folder shuts down. To make the situation worse, Camera Roll uses a very strange sorting method in which capitals and lowercase have an influence in the sorting procedure. This is why Camera Roll, in which I had placed a lot of hope is unusable.
