Good concept. App works well, but not with TSA programs. Circumventing kiosks at Global Entry caused TSA to block me from program lanes. They are not trained, wave us by kiosks then block access lanes because we don't have ticket. When this app scans passport it needs to cross reference Global Entry database and reflect program participation. And TSA needs TRAINING, but isn't that usually the case. Otherwise from a functionality perspective a great app, easy to use. But for registered passengers this is a big integration gap, thus my mediocre rating because it does not solve the problem, I still need kiosk checkout.
First time using it. Seemed fool proof using the app and going through the process. However, this must be very new because few agents in customs knew exactly what I was asking about when I told them I was using this app. I also was sent through the Global Entry line, presumably because this process doesn't have its own yet? Easy to use, saved a lot of time!
We breezed thru at Seattle. The only problem we had were that there were no signs where to go when you first got off the flight so started out in the wrong long (green for US citizens). Once we asked, they told us straight down to baggage, pick up luggage if you have any, and out to scan the mobile app and a quick show of our passports....Awesome!
I used this at EWR and there's 2 things everyone needs to know: Not all CBP or baggage exit lines accept this so you must look for the lines that do (EWR did not have signs up front that said "Go past most other lines for MP"), and the initial QR code on the receipt page cannot be scanned (you must tap it because a magnifying glass overlaps it). Agents' ease of use with app varies.
Very easy to install, configure and use; the app works well. Only issue is not with the app itself, but with the process at the airport which changes from one trip to the next. I fly into ORD several times a year and they don't seem to have a consistent setup, and sometimes I can't use mobile passport.
Used this in IAH. App worked fine. Followed the Mobile signs past all the lines just to have all the people with paper forms put right back in front of us. Once at the agent's counter the it took much longer to scan and wait in between each one. People with paper forms got through in half the time. What's the point?
