I hate city parkings The alternative is to pay $3 for garage parking for 1hr… so I decided to bite the bullet and try street-side parking with this app. Took about 5 minutes to download the app, sign up, added a credit card, and loaded account with $20. Now I'm looking at the app counting down 2hrs for $2.35. We'll see how it goes, so far so good.
Approach Caution Convenient but not trustworthy. I came back to my car and a ticket. Park Now started the meter, but for some reason 37 seconds it stopped it. $45 ticket. It's crashed my phone when I wanted to stop parking. If you don't have enough funds to cover the amount for the maximum hours on the meter, it doesn't let you start the meter, or you get error texts saying it parking failed. But it didn't fail so when the maximum number of hours is up you get a text letting your know you've been charged.
Received parking ticket anyway.. and they wont help resolve it I have a receipt and history showing that i paid for parking, but received a parking ticket anyway. I disputed this with montgomery county parking and they still tell me it is valid even though i have receipts showing otherwise. Mobilenow will not help me resolve this. I will have to waste a day in court to resolve this now. I honest to god do not have time to deal with this. This incident has wasted more time dealing with this than i had imagined. Carrying some coins around in the future.
Maybe I got unlucky? Hesitant to retry Used it for the first time today and everything seemed to go well until I got back to my car and found a parking ticket on my windshield. I guess the parking officer didn't check whatever tools mobilenow provides them (hopefully such tools exist). Unfortunately, I still have to go to the parking authority IN PERSON to contest the ticket. Hopefully, all I have to do is show them my transaction history in the app alongside the ticket and they'll drop it. Whether I'll be successful or not, it's been a pain.
Best parking app This application works a lot better than parkmobile, not that you have a choice between providers, but I prefer the paying for as much as you need model rather than the try to figure out how much time you're going to be in the parking space version. But the app does exactly what it is supposed to do.
It works fine I haven't had any problems. I used to use the website and wasn't charged a convenience fee. With the app, I am charged. Not great, But better than digging for change.
