I hate city parkings The alternative is to pay $3 for garage parking for 1hr… so I decided to bite the bullet and try street-side parking with this app. Took about 5 minutes to download the app, sign up, added a credit card, and loaded account with $20. Now I'm looking at the app counting down 2hrs for $2.35. We'll see how it goes, so far so good.
Approach Caution Convenient but not trustworthy. I came back to my car and a ticket. Park Now started the meter, but for some reason 37 seconds it stopped it. $45 ticket. It's crashed my phone when I wanted to stop parking. If you don't have enough funds to cover the amount for the maximum hours on the meter, it doesn't let you start the meter, or you get error texts saying it parking failed. But it didn't fail so when the maximum number of hours is up you get a text letting your know you've been charged.
Maybe I got unlucky? Hesitant to retry Used it for the first time today and everything seemed to go well until I got back to my car and found a parking ticket on my windshield. I guess the parking officer didn't check whatever tools mobilenow provides them (hopefully such tools exist). Unfortunately, I still have to go to the parking authority IN PERSON to contest the ticket. Hopefully, all I have to do is show them my transaction history in the app alongside the ticket and they'll drop it. Whether I'll be successful or not, it's been a pain.
Best parking app This application works a lot better than parkmobile, not that you have a choice between providers, but I prefer the paying for as much as you need model rather than the try to figure out how much time you're going to be in the parking space version. But the app does exactly what it is supposed to do.
Convenience While not a fan of the 25 cent convenience fee, I am a huge fan of the money back option. If you finish before your time, you can actually get some of your money back. You can even extend your time from wherever you are without running back to feed the meter. Great program!
Never have to go back and feed the meter, can do it right from the app, never had an issue.
