Over 3 gigs So far this billing cycle this app has used more data than any other. And I like streaming video, from race updates to you tube. I loved this for a long time because it was easy to switch I traveled and TV providers changed. Now, I just don't want to deal with the back ground ads. Also, customer service just sends a canned response email that basically told me no one would be reviewing my email.
Data usage My Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has this cool function that breaks each apps data usage down into foreground and background data being used. At one point last month the foreground data usage was .25GB and the background data was a whopping 19.88GB! Equal to my Chrome data and Youtube data. I was wondering why my usage was so high! Fortunately, my phone also has a function to stop background data on individual apps. This did not alter the functionality of the t.v. guide which I really like.
Data Hog App is very reliable and fast. However the video ads play automatically and use a lot of data. If you don't have unlimited data, then it's best to check what's on tv and then close the app quickly. Or use Wi-Fi. Otherwise your carrier will be charging you for all the excessive data. If the ads were changed to non-videos, app would be 5 stars.
Greatest TV App Ever I only have "air / antenna" TV so this is the only way I can see what is coming on. I also "follow" all my favorite shows so convenient. Have tried other Apps but they don't have all the channels I get on my Antenna. This is the only one that does. Have had the App for years with no problems except for the occasional "connection error" what ever that means.
Simple to use & up-to-date Forget the newspaper or trying to remember what time your favorite show is on. Right now, tonight, tomorrow, three days from now. It's all here! This app is for you. Simple, reliable and has the details you're looking for. I have used it for over two years and loved it. You will too!
Great when or if it works Used to be the best and still it's when it works. Now I get frequent connection errors where it keeps asking me to make sure I'm connected to the internet. I always have internet on every other app including the play store app right now as I write this review at the same time the tv listings app is asking me to check my connection. I guess if this negative review posts my internet connection is fine.

- cleaned up some of the ads which will hopefully make the app run smoother and crash less often.
