Simple but effective... so far. I don't know if this will CONTINUE to be effective. A.D.D. procrastinators have subconscious ways of avoiding reminders and todos (like just avoiding using the app. lol), but so far, this app seems to be working for me. One constant suggestion from users that the coder seems to be avoiding is the choice of a different notification sound. I realize that something annoying is valuable when trying to spur oneself on, HOWEVER, my CO-WORKERS are more annoyed than I am so... PLEASE GIVE A DIFFERENT NOTIFICATION SOUND AS AN OPTION. Maybe something Star Trekish! :-D
I really like this app. It provides a random reminder to stay on task, and you can set the minimum and maximum distance you want to go between alarms! I would be willing to pay for a version that tracks statistics over time. I am not sure exactly what those statistics would look like... but it would be very motivating to be able to see progress over time. If the developer is interested, I'd be willing to give this more thought and share my ideas. (This kind of tracking would also allow people to identify what timing is ideal for them. Do alerts between 10-30 minutes apart derail them? Do alerts between 40-60 minutes give them not enough structure, allowing them to veer off task?) If stats are tracked, it would be helpful to have the option of a third response button for Semi-Off Task behavior (e.g., I'm still on task, working on a first draft of a paper, but I got stuck on details -- how a sentence is worded or on the details of an article -- instead of sticking with the big picture and saving that detailed stuff for editing).
SOOO HELPFUL FOR ADHD!!!! This app has been so helpful!!! I really struggle with adult ADHD, and this app helps me stay on task without getting annoying during the times when I actually am on task. I'm a terrible procrastinator too, and this helps me be more mindful of how much time I'm wasting. My roommates hear the alarms and look at me when they go off.. Their look they give me when it goes off really helps keep me accountable with my time management. 5 stars all the way!!!
Fantastic App I use this to conduct time studies (i.e. write down what I'm doing when the timer goes off) with random intervals (4-16 minutes between interruptions). The data in aggregate is great for understanding how I spend my time at work and whether I'm really spending enough time on important goals. - I would pay for an update that allows me to set the reminder sound separately from my alarm settings!
ADHD tool Really helps me realize when I've been distracted. Almost perfect! Could you please make adjustments to allow for a picture of our own choosing, perhaps a motivational quote or a snapshot of our calendar or to-do list. Also, I'd really like to know how to change the ringtone that plays. Many thanks. Galaxy Note 3.
Amazing I used it while searching for homework apps (to prevent myself from goofing off on Minecraft) and I loved it! Even if you aren't honest, it still makes you realize are supposed to be working. I will definitely be using this year and I recommended it to my dad. It's perfect for people with adhd and people who lose track of time!
Added option that adjusts the timer so that it will interrupt you less often when you're "On Task" and more often when you've been loafing.
